Advances in sensing and positioning technology, fueled by wide deployment of wireless networks, have made many devices location-aware. These emerging technologies have enabled a new class of applications, known as Location-Based Services (LBS), offering both new business opportunities and a wide array of new quality of life enhancing services. With the proliferation of mobile devices, location-based services have become more and more popular in recent years. However, users have to reveal their location information to access location-based services with existing service infrastructures. It is possible that adversaries could collect the location information, which in turn invades user’s privacy. There are existing solutions for query processing on spatial networks and mobile user privacy protection in Euclidean space. However there is no solution for solving queries on spatial networks with privacy protection. Therefore, we aim to provide network distance spatial query solutions which can preserve user privacy by utilizing K-anonymity mechanisms. In this system, the system propose a user-defined privacy grid system called dynamic grid system (DGS) to provide privacy-preserving snapshot and continuous LBS. In DGS, a querying user first determines a query area, where the user is comfortable to reveal the fact that she is somewhere within this query area. The query area is divided into equal-sized grid cells based on the dynamic grid structure specified by the user. Then, the user encrypts a query that includes the information of the query area and the dynamic grid structure, and encrypts the identity of each grid cell intersecting the required search area of the spatial query to produce a set of encrypted identifiers.
