Description
Electronic Toll Collection system decides whether user has driven through a road segment or not and charge him if he has. The decision based on the user position is called geo-object recognition. Electronic toll collection system based on GNSS provides more flexibility and reduced roadside infrastructure compared to normal toll booth. But, the GNSS based network involves the calculation latitude and longitude positions of the target in the location based tracking system. The location based tracking system. The location based tracking system is undesirable if the vehicle is far away from the base station. Moreover the continuous monitoring of system is difficult which yields the low performance in multi sensor model. In this work, the signal tracking based model is proposed where the continuous monitoring of signals between the BS and the target done. Through this approach, the efficient target detection carried out easily. The test results shows that the suitability of the system to mitigate the lack of integrity monitoring in the existing methods. This approach reduces the complexity of the on-board equipment and avoids memory problems due to error propagation in recursive loops, as well as the thorough characterization of errors due to non-GNSS components required by integrity mechanisms.
