ABSTRACT:

Agriculture is a kind of complex systems. It consists of various factors such as environmental, biological and financial ones. So its

applications are complicated, and concerning data is enormous. Recently such data can be collected by ICT. However the collected

data sets have been stored in different places by different forms: it is not easy to integrate the data sets yet. We propose a strategy

and concept of CLOP (CLoud Open Platform for applications in agriculture) to encourage data-integration in agriculture. Already there are Open Cloud Platforms (OCPs). Position of CLOP is on higher layer of the OCPs, and CLOP provides standard APIs

among agricultural applications to share/exchange the data sets. Agricultural applications can access other agricultural applications

and the general public cloud services such as Twitter by using the APIs on CLOP. Applications for PCs and smartphones can be

developed easily in short time by using HTML5 with CLOP.
