Segmenting the brain image from magnetic resonance (MR) images is an essential step in quantitative brain image analysis. In this paper, we propose the advanced Pulse-Coupled Neural Network (PCNN) based image segmentation. This proposed algorithm shows that this will overcome the difficulties made by noise and any other variations made in the image which cannot handle by other algorithm. In our project, we segment the brain image and separate Gray matter, White matter, Tumor, etc. in the MRI brain image. Our goal is to calculate the level of Gray matter, White matter and Tumor for identifying whether the brain was in affected level or not. This presentation shows the effect of segmenting the brain by using PCNN segmentation algorithm. Out final result gives the information’s of brain. By using this we can identify the affected region in the given brain image.
