Abstract

Ø Here we are providing new methods to constrain brain MRI registration, and perform experiments evaluating the alignment of manually-traced structures, reduction of intersubject variance, and morphometric results using groupwise registration, compared against traditional MRI-based registration.

Ø In multistructure diffeomorphic registration to brain registration, where a set of initial segmentations is used as structures along with the MRI.

Ø Because we are using image registration, we thus restrict our scope of structures to those that can be represented volumetrically as images, such as MRI volumes or anatomical segmentations, or those that can be interpolated on a volumetric grid.
