Energy and bandwidth efficiency is most important in the MANET network. By using the coordinated protocol with infrastructure there is a lack in the channel allocation dynamically. A dynamic channel allocation method is described in which traffic types are assigned by reference to an acceptable carrier to interference ratio for that traffic type. It requires the MSC to collect real time data on channel occupancy, traffic distribution and Received Signal Strength Indications (RSSI). DCA schemes are suggested for TDMA/FDMA based cellular systems such as GSM, but are currently not used in any products. OFDMA systems, such as the downlink of 4G cellular systems, can be considered as carrying out DCA for each individual sub-carrier as well as each timeslot. Where a multiple layer re-use scheme is operative, the allocation takes place on layer basis with traffic being assigned to a layer exhibiting a suitable carrier to interference ratio. Hence we propose dynamic channel allocation algorithm and cooperative load balancing strategy in the cluster based MANET. This improves the performance of the network in terms of throughput, packet delivery ratio and energy consumption.
