SupportDescription
Developing energy aware cognitive radio networks requires understanding the concepts of spectrum sensing. It is important to provide energy efficient data transmission in cognitive radio networks. In order to achieve this process, we propose energy-efficient dynamic spectrum access (DSA) protocols for secondary user (SU) communication over a single primary user (PU) channel. When one Cognitive Radio detects the presence of primary user then it allocates the channel for that user. When primary user free, it allocates the available spectrum to secondary users. Simulation result shows our proposed system provides 25% much more reliable transmission when compared to existing one. The proposed eDSA protocols can be applicable in any PU activity scenario (time-slotted), without requiring any synchronization with the PU network. The SU while operating on a PU channel aims to make full use of the available spaces in the channel. Although cooperative spectrum sensing provides high sensing reliability. We consider the performance of the protocol in terms of SU good put, SU energy efficiency, and PU collision ratio.
