INCORRECT and buggy behavior in deployed software costs up to $70 billion each year in the US. Thus, debugging, testing, maintaining, optimizing, refactoring, and documenting software, while time consuming, remain critically important. Such maintenance is reported to consume up to 90 percent of the total cost of software projects. A key maintenance concern is incomplete documentation: Up to 60 percent of maintenance time is spent studying existing software . Human processes and especially tool support for finding and fixing errors in deployed software often require formal specifications of correct program behavior; it is difficult to repair a coding error without a clear notion of what “correct” program behavior entails. The main aim of this project is to improve the quality of the java code using Object behavior model, Junit and EMMA tool. This will improve code readability and understandability using coding conventions, improves efficiency of program code by identifying the defects using Junit test cases and finally EMMA tool shows our efficient code statistics. EMMA is used for measuring and reporting java code coverage. This enables developers to quickly identify the portions of Java code that aren’t covered by their unit tests. The coverage statistics measures the quality of our code and shows improved code report. Hence, the result shows that our code is efficient than normal code.
