Description
It is important to identify the signal strength of the android mobile phone for achieving better energy consumption. The average user may not realize the high energy costs of using location services (namely the GPS) or may not make smart decisions regarding when to enable or disable location services – for example, when indoors. Battery consumption depends on many different factors, for example Wi-Fi usage, GPS usage, CPU usage, etc… All of which can be shared and used at the same time by many different applications. Create a new location provider in the operating system into which an indoor localization method can be implemented to infer the user’s location in a quick and energy-efficient manner. Modify the FusedLocationProvider API to dynamically switch between the GPS and an indoor-based location provider depending on indoor/outdoor status. So we can find out the CPU usage of device. First of all create a broadcast Receiver, register it with intent Action_Battery_Changed. This is a sticky broadcast containing the charging state, level, and other information about the battery. Propose an energy consumption analysis of the localization methods available on modern Android smartphones and propose the addition of an indoor localization mechanism that can be triggered depending on whether a user is detected to be indoors or outdoors.
