Description
A hybrid wireless network is an integration of mobile wireless ad-hoc network (MANETs) and wireless infrastructure networks. Specifically, infra-structure networks improve the scalability of MANETs, while MANETs automatically establish self-organizing networks, extending the coverage of the infrastructure networks. The routing function is the main phase of any routing protocol for any network and particularly for Ad hoc networks. This project presents a self-organizing communication framework for extending wireless coverage for mobile devices, without requiring modifications of existing wireless infrastructures. The proposed routing called distributed data discovery and dissemination protocol (DIDRIP) provides secure and efficient communication. The protocol uses fault node recovery algorithm for data transmission. The simulations results show increase in the performance of the network in terms of delay, throughput and packet delivery ratio which is better than the existing system.
