A Dual Band Highly Miniaturized Patch Antenna
Wireless Communication Technology is the biggest discovery in the history of mankind in the areas of sophisticated modern day communication systems. W modern day technology systems like cellular satellite, and missile applications, low required for its small size, less weight, performance and ease of installation. A Microstrip patch antenna is a low-profile antenna it has a number of advantages over other antennas. They have the capability to integrate with microwave circuits and therefore they are very well suited for applications such as cell devices, WLAN applications, navigation systems and many others. It is lightweight, inexpensive, and electronics like LNA’s can be integrated with these antennas easily. In this proposed workIn this proposed work, the highly miniaturized dual band patch antenna is designed.The miniaturized technique is used based on the combination of shorting pin and defected ground structure DGS. The dual band frequency is obtained by etching a U-slot in a ground layer that is called DGS. The dielectric of substrate is 4.4 that is FR4 substrate. The radiation pattern, directivity, return loss, VSWR and Bandwidth of the proposed antenna are calculated by using the HFSS.13 software package.
